A New Chapter: The WILLOW store is Finally Here ( well nearly!)
Well… here we are! After what feels like the longest summer of planning, waiting, and a few delays (as these things always go), I can finally say it — the new WILLOW store is opening in St Helier, Jersey! EEK ! I cant quite believe it still!
This is such a bittersweet moment for me. As you may know, if you have followed me for a while, that I spent a lot of my time caring for my parents. My Dad had dementia & Parkinsons, and passed away 2 years ago, and my poor mum never really recovered from our loss, and sadly she passed away earlier this year. So now I have time to focus on me, my family and this new chapter! To be total honest with you , I feel very guilty at times that I'm so excited for this, as if they were still here, this would not be happening, as I would not have the time. I know I should't feel this, but I do.
BUT, it feels like now is my time to pour my heart into something I love. And if you know me, you’ll know I’ve been completely (ok, obsessively!) in love with candles, fragrance, and creating cosy spaces. And yes will I will still bang on about burn time, and telling you to trim the wick ! Told you- Obsessed!
What to expect in the shop
Of course, you’ll find our hand-poured soy candles, wax melts, and luxury diffusers — all vegan, cruelty-free, and made in Jersey. But the shop is about more than just products. It’s about experiences too.
We’ll be running candle making workshops in Jersey where you can learn the craft and take home your own creation, plus wax melt workshops where you get hands-on with blending your own fragrances. You’ll learn how to work with top, middle, and base notes to create a scent that’s completely yours.
Our scent library, with a mixture of essential oils and fragrance oils, gives you a place to explore, test, and discover fragrance blends. You might just uncover your signature scent while you’re here. There are no rules ( well maybe a couple of basic ones, lets say guidelines, to blending a scent)..On that note WILLOW has a new Signature scent that I have been creating all summer. You will love it.
These experience are fun, relaxed and the perfect way to get together with friends or a work event. Time to get creative with scent and just enjoy the experience.
More than candles
I’m slowly bringing back a handpicked selection of home accessories and jewellery to sit alongside our fragrances — little lifestyle touches that make your home or gift feel extra special. Plus, because sustainability is so important, we’ll now offer candle refills and diffuser refills in Jersey, so you can reuse your jars and bottles again and again.
The Coffee & Wellness Bar
And here’s where it gets even more exciting — we’ve teamed up with Sophie from Alma Sana to bring you a coffee and wellness bar right inside the shop. Think collagen coffees, mushroom blends, matcha tea, and holistic supplements to fuel you while you browse or take a workshop.
It all started with a small idea — a collaboration with Alma Sana on a subscription box. One thing led to another, and before we knew it, we were signing a lease for a shop together. Now, it’s become a place that’s so much more than we first imagined.
So yes, it’s been a summer of planning, research, ideas, meetings and paperwork (with more than a few delays along the way!), but I know it’s going to be worth it. This new Jersey candle shop is more than just retail — it’s a space to explore, create, relax, and connect.
Pop in for a coffee, explore the scents, book a candle or wax melt workshop, and discover what makes WILLOW a little different. I honestly can’t wait to welcome you in and start this next chapter together.
